Some of the posts on here feature my cooking too! There is the occasional post done by Taylor about something she whips up, but that's mostly because EVERY SINGLE TIME she enters the kitchen to cook more than toast or cereal, she brings the camera to document and blog about it. Now if I did this, there would be new posts at least 5 times a week. My favorite things to cook include: Chicken Marsala, Curry Pineapple Veggie Fried Rice, Monkey Bread, Sweet Potato Coins, Mac n Cheese, White Chicken Chili, Vodka Cream Pasta, and so many more. This list makes me realize how many of my favorite meals I have not shared with y'all so shame on me, I'll get on that (:
Maybe this statement is a little over exaggerated. But really, I don't like cleaning. My room is always messy, but thankfully Taylor and I share a room, and she gets annoyed by the mess and cleans up when it gets too bad. This immense hatred for cleaning is also one of the major reasons I got into cooking. When you make the meal, you don't have to do the dishes! Dishes are the WORST kind of cleaning. I'm not helpless though, I can do laundry.
I believe in love and loving others to the best of your ability. I believe in forgiveness, even when it's nearly impossible and even when someone is not sorry. I believe in grace. That we can receive it without being perfect or holy or worthy. To me this is all freeing. Freeing from having to find acceptance from the world, and the people in it. It's also empowering me to strive to be a better person. To do good. To never stop growing and never stop trying.
Taylor is not. I get a hug from her about once a month when she's being extra needy or wants me to make cookies. But I love hugs so I just fill that need by hugging my mom probably more often than she prefers. I also love to pat Taylor on the tummy—especially when she's in the middle of a good stretch. Three pats is the perfect amount of pats. Pat Pat Pat! No more no less! And of course you have to shout "TUMMY PAT!" before patting.
I say hello to my family when we've been sitting together for a while. Perhaps we're in the middle of a long car ride, or have been sitting in the same room for a while, or when a commercial comes on during a TV show we're watching. I'll just sit there and say "Hi mom (or taylor)!" and they usually respond with a "hi chloe" and then I am content. I am nervous that sometime I will be with a friend or someone who is not used to this kind of thing and I will say "hi" to them and they will be weirded out. But hopefully they will still love me.
