It's been nearly two months since my last post. Life has been hectic lately—in the best way possible! Chloe and I have been traveling a lot for shows: two trips to New York, a trip to Michigan, and most recently a trip to Maryland. We were part of the American Legacy Tour, where a tour bus took us through Florida, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas. Most notably, this past Friday we funded our PledgeMusic campaign, which means after two years we'll finally be going back in studio to record new music! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!
I bought this red velvet dress for fall because EVERY other f/w performance dress I own is black. This is not a joke. #AllBlackEverything is like, my life motto. This dress is a bit uncharacteristic for me, as I'm generally drawn towards form-fitted pieces. But with a shape reminiscent of a 60's shift minidress, and that rich jewel-tone Gatsby flair—I simply could not resist.
The bib necklace is one of the best Christmas presents I've ever received (thanks, mom!) because it can spruce up just about any outfit. Plus, it adds to that "Gatsby Effect" I love so much.
And can we talk about these SHOES?!?! I found them whilst rummaging through the sale section at Posh in Hillsboro Village. They're half a size big (9.5 and I'm a 9) but at the marked down price, they were too fabulous to pass up. Since I wear them at nearly every show, I'd say it was a good purchase! ;)
We're headed in studio this coming Monday, so be sure to keep up with us on our PledgeMusic page for exclusive updates and behind-the-scenes footage!
