A Summer Stroll
One of my favorite things to do during the summer months is take evening strolls in quaint neighborhoods. I'm particularly fond of East Nashville because the houses have a historic, southern charm about them. I love admiring the architecture, the colorful paint choices, the dreamy front porches. It's hard not to get carried away imagining what the lives are like of the people who live there. If I become particularly attached to a home, I'll affectionately label it "my house" and each consecutive time I drive past will make a point to inform everyone, "that's where I'm going to live someday."
If "summer stroll" had a corresponding outfit, it would most definitely be a maxi dress. It's comfortable enough for a leisurely walk, while also making you feel like you're ambling down an old-fashioned cobblestone street in Italy enjoying gelato. Okay...so maybe East Nashville isn't Italy, but if you're looking for the next best thing on a summer eve, Chloe and I recommend checking out the Shoppes on Fatherland.
How are you taking advantage of the final days of summer?
