Let's create community. One house show at a time.

Music does bring people together. It allows us to experience the same emotions. People everywhere are the same in heart and spirit. No matter what language we speak, what color we are, the form of our politics or the expression of our love and our faith, music proves: We are the same.
— John Denver

Hi, we're Chloe and Taylor. We're sisters who live in Nashville, TN and spend most of our days with a guitar in hand. When we're not harmonizing or touring in our tiny Hyundai Accent, we're probably baking cookies, reading Malcolm Gladwell, philosophizing about the world, dreaming of one day owning a self-sustaining EarthShip home, or on an endless quest for the world's best mac n' cheese. But all you really need to know is: we're a folk/rock/pop/soul duo (with obvious genre commitment issues), otherwise known as Chasing Lovely.

Our mission is to bring communities together through music and house shows.

Music is one of the quickest ways to build rapport with another human being. Unlike most concerts, our house shows open up the opportunity for connection. It's relaxed—there's no pushing, shoving, loud speakers or pyrotechnics. You don't need to shout to hear the person next to you. It's a group of people, a couple acoustic guitars, gathered together in a living room kumbaya-style.

It's an acoustic concert in your living room for you and your friends. It's a lot like having a dinner party, but instead of eating dinner, you're listening to live music. You invite your friends, family, co-workers, neighbors—it's a fun excuse to get together with friends or meet new people in your community.

You'll need at least 20 people in attendance—maximum depends on how many folks fit at your place, but the more the merrier! At most house shows, people sit on sofas and chairs, on the floor, or stand wherever there's room. You don't need a big house or apartment to host. We've done house shows in tiny living rooms, and it makes for an incredible & intimate experience when everyone is snug in a room together!

If you want to provide food or drink for the evening you can, but it's not required. Most house shows are BYOB. Others are potluck. It's completely up to each host!

We'll have our acoustic guitars (and a mandolin!) and will play between 10-12 songs. In between songs we’ll share stories, thoughts and experiences influenced by the content in the music and hopefully spark conversation! All in all, we’ll aim for the event to last 2-3 hours.

We collect a $10 cover per person at the door as guests arrive, with all monies going to the artist. We'll also have a CD & T-shirt available for purchase and we accept credit cards! As full time musicians, our primary income is made from live shows.

We would need a place to crash for the evening before heading to our next destination. We travel with sleeping bags and air mattresses, so anywhere with a few feet of floorspace will work!

We love Instagram. It's a community of thinkers, dreamers and creatives who have an insatiable curiosity and passion for sharing what inspires them. We hope these house shows will provide you with an opportunity to meet fellow Instagrammers in your community. We hope you share in this vision and can't wait to plan an unforgettable evening together!
